In the words of the great Michael Conti, for the (n)one of you that care, yesterday was the start of the baseball season and the first of many Phillies late leads lost.
It was also the start to my championship fantasy baseball season. If my memory serves me correctly it was the second greatest single day performance in the 5 years I've been playing fantasy baseball. (Second only to the day Randy Johnson pitched a perfect game)
14 teams, head to head format.
C - R. Martin - 0-4
1 - L. Overbay - 2-4, 1B, 2B, RBI, R, BB
2 - O. Hudson - 3-4, 2 1B, 2B, 2 RB1, 2 R
SS - H Ramirez - 4-6, 2 1B, 2 2B, RBI, 4 R, 2 SB
3 - M Cabrera - 3-4, 1B, 2B, HR, 4 RBI, R, 2 BB
OF - P. Burrell - 1-4, 1B, R, BB
OF - A. Dunn - 2-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R, BB
OF G. Sizemore - 2-4, 1B, HR, RBI, 3 R, BB
DH A. Kearns - 1-4 1B, R
Angels - 8K, W, S
For a ridiculous bottom line of:
.474 18-38, 9 1B, 5 2B, 4 HR, 12 RBI, 15 R, 2 SB, 6 BB
9 INN, 5 HA, 5 BBI, 8 K, W, S
I'm great!

Congrats! I'm done with fantasy gaming. I didn't even make the play-offs in my basketball league, which really pisses me off because I figured that being the only girl in the league would automatically put me in there. Seriously, chivalry is dead.
Usually I understand you but this is like some foreign language to me.
I think that database guy must be rubbing off on you
I don't really follow baseball, nor have I ever played a fantasy league, so I don't know what all that means. I hope it's good for you.
I'm with Laurie. This may as well be written in Hebrew. Which would make sense, seeing as how it's Passover. Happy Pesach, Tim.
Well, I WAS proud of my fantasy lineup but none of my guys came out of the fence doing that great. Carpenter and Puljos (I'm sure I'm spelling that wrong but, bite me, I'm sick) did not do so great on Opening Day.
Oh, well, that's why it's called a marathon. There's a whole six months ahead.
Although i am not a baseball fan... I'll be nice and post anyways, lol ;) Happy that you're happy!
Whatever floats your boat Timmy.....
I actually followed that, which kinda scares me a little.

Yes, it's annoying when you can't comment. I also don't believe in word verification. I like to make fun of spam.
Pompous jerkoff.....
I hate people that turn off comments. I also hate people that dump their blogs without saying goodbye.
Oh wait...
Very funny.... talking about not liking when people turn off their comments and then you do it here. Wiseguy, eh?
Yes wiseguy, but remember that Dooce makes money off her blog, thats why she has turned off comments perhaps.
OK...I laughed out loud about the above post...pompous jerk.
Your team's doing well...all the chatter's been about Sizemore...lucky you got him...what? You have the whole Angels pitching staff?
Timophil:
I stopped playing Fantasy Baseball after Carlton Fisk retired. They didn't have fantasy baseball in 1993? Oh. Well I would have played.
