And I Would Run...

It was a lot less dramatic than I imagined. No parade, no fireworks, no marching bands. No firetrucks, no champagne, not even a high five. I had just finished my 3rd mile of a 12 mile run this morning and nothing happened. I had just finished my 500th mile of the year and nothing happened. No strippers, no cash prizes, no hugs or kisses. I though at least a checkered flag was waved after 500 miles, but I saw nothing. What a bunch of shit.

  2. You rock! You are inspiring me Tim. I've been thinking about signing up for a 5k. CCB says if I wait till spring he'll run with me. The holidays are really busy with his job so trainin would be harder for us. I can't believe I'm even entertaining this idea! It's your fault! *wink*

I'm sending a stripper over now. He will be there in 20 minutes.

  4. I always thought it would be nice if they had the big ribbon/banner to run through at the end of every race...and EVERYONE gets to run through their own personal ribbons. Sure, it would mean having a lot of people on staff to keep pulling new ribbons across the road for each runner, but it would be SO worth it. I'd run races if I knew for sure I would get to bust on through a ribbon.

  5. Tim:

Oh you're wrong! There are angels in heaven as we speak with Timmy banners all over the place, a ticker-tape parade, and your mug in Times' Square.
