Green, Grass, Grace

I was just reading someone's blog who's name I won't mention unless she wants me to. But, someone commented that "The grass is always greener..." And it got me thinking.

The grass IS always greener. Seriously. My grass sucks. It's brown with bare spots all over. It's got tons of weeds and crab grass. Last night I took my daughter for a walk and when we got to the end of the block she lied down on my neighbor's grass and spread out like she was in bed. She won't even touch our grass. I hate my grass.

My wife on the other hand is the best in the neighborhood.

Ha I always admire other peoples grass. I wonder what they do differently than me.

Well, in your case, as you once documented, they mow the lawn in the rain. I think that must help.

The grass in my front yard is gorgeous and green because my landlord maintains it. The grass in my backyard sucks ass because it's my job to take care of it. I've stopped looking at it because I get a panic attack thinking about all the things I should do and need to do but would rather sleep and drink beers.

that's my blog! woo hoo!

i have a feeling that if you saw our grass, you'd feel much better about your grass. even the city hates our grass and they poved it by giving us a ticket on account of all the ugly. that feels good...

hey i would have to say it's better to have the best wife than the best grass. good people are hard to find in general but you can always fix your lawn. my boyfriend's lawn was/ is horrible from years and years of neglect but this spring he put down loads of grass and and fertiliser and mulch, etc. it looks somewhat nicer now. :)

Yeah, I'd much rather have the best wife than the best grass.
