Being a single mom is easy!

Kym went away yesterday until Thursday night, so I'm on my own with the baby. (I guess she's not so much a baby anymore?) Last night I had a softball game and my mom was nice enough to meet me there with my brother. Sounds easy enough for me, but when taking her somewhere at 6pm you have to remember a sippy cup of water, a sippy cup of milk, diaper bag, sandwich, cheesestick, cherry tomatoes, pajamas, nighttime blanket, toys. done, done, done, done, done, done, done, done, done. Easy. We lost our game, and we're out of the playoffs. She fell asleep on the ride home and I transisitioned her right into bed where she slept until 6:30am. Easy. We got up, she took a bath, she pooped in the bath, I cleaned it up. Easy. We played for a while, I got dressed, we ate, we played, she got dressed, we played, I packed her lunch, we left and I made it into work at my normal time. Easy.

Have you ever seen a little girl so prepared to take on the world?

That sounds just like my day! Except I didn't poop in the tub.

What exactly did you put in that sippy cup?

Babies poop in the tub? I honestly never knew that. I guess it'll be James' job to bathe the babies.

Man that is one cute kid you have! I'll bet you'll have to beat the boys off with a stick. Let's not think about that just yet.

What is up with pooping in the tub? I know kids do it all the time, but mine never did. Maybe it's because I plug them up with my old wine corks.

S - sure you didn't...

P - she's drunk on the love of her dad.

M - yes and it's horrible.

L - The bathtub has become her new diaper. It's the only place she seems to go. Most times we're just asking for it because we let her play in there for like an hour because she loves it so much. Today, it took about 30 seconds.

I can't wait to see Thursdays post! We'll see if you are still singing the same tune!

So, was this pic before or after pooping?

It must be the cherry tomatoes. They give even the smallest of us special powers. Throw in some ranch dressing and you just better watch yourself!

Yep, it really looks likes she's drunk on the love of her dad!

You've got the touch & I hope it stays that way forever: )

I told my wife that it's easy when I stay home with my kid. However, I don't try to do anything else, like clean up after us or anything.

Question, when she poops in the tub, what's your preferred method of extraction? I tried many methods, but just grew a pair and barehanded it. (eeeew.)

O - so far so good.. but I still have another day

C - I think she actually likes picking the cherry tomatoes from our garden more than she likes eating them.

C - thanks! And it will.

T - The house isn't exactly pristine right now. And it depends on the consistency. Yesterday it stayed intact, so I scooped it up with a big cup.

Funny you should write this blog because I did the EXACT same thing last Fri-Sat. I watched my nephew (who is two months younger than Kenslee. Well, I didn't take him to a softball game. It is a lot of work but very rewarding, isn't it? Kids are so darn cute.

You don't get your General's Stars until you barehand poo out of the tub into the toilet. I have 46 poo-crusted stars.
