Reflection

A week from Sunday marks my two year blogiversary. Pretty pathetic.

In an unrelated story, two guys that started a website about six month after me just made $1.65 billion. Pretty pathetic. It was bought by google, the same company that runs blogger. So, it's only a matter of time before youtube crashes everyday, you can't log on, and you can't upload anything.

In a very related story, I write all my blog posts in Word or in an email to make it look like I'm composing a work related document. (Yes, most of my work related documents contain pictures of bears attacking girls in a towel in a log cabin.) So, when I just went to login to blogger to post this... I couldn't! Surprise, Surprise.

You know how in the 40 year old virgin the "I'm going celibate" conversation is the first of three conversations leading to him being gay? I'm sensing that this is the first of three posts leading to you quitting. Or maybe the second, I've never been that good at reading people when they're on the other side of the planet.

p.s. don't quit

thanks sarah. A few weeks ago when Tinapopo and I were out to dinner we were talking about how everyone is quitting. We both vowed to never quit. She is a liar. I'm not going to quit. I'm not going to force posts out just to write something like I had been, so I may not post everyday, but I won't quit.

Well, as you know, I don't post everyday mostly because I'm a bit of a commitment-phobe and I hate feeling obliged to write something everyday. Sometimes there's just nothing there to write about. And when people are asking where I am I have wanted to mysteriously disappear and never return.

So I just want to say it's good to take little breaks because then you realise when there's something you actually want to blog about.

You CAN NOT quit. TPP needs a serious intervention, I might add. Can you skip over there to where she lives, flush her head down the toilet and make her sit down and write a decent post?

You simply can not quit because you, Pixie, TPP, Citizen of the Month, and Mommy has a Headache are all I have left now that Dan is gone. Seriously!! If you quit I will fly out to PA and toilet paper your house and stick bananas in your exhaust!!!

Fucking quit. No one really cares. I'm serious. People just want to have something to do. That's why I didn't post last week. Just to see. Almost no one missed me.

Just kidding. I really like Cloraphil. It's fun to read. Just force it if you have to.

I do that email thing too...especially since my boss and coworkers hate my blogging.

Hey, glad to see you were finally able to log on and post! Please don't quit, I found you through Belligerent Intellectual and he quit and if I lose you too I just don't know WHAT I'd do! :( hehe, by the way, thanks for the comments lately - I appreciate them a lot! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family; I hope you enjoy your testicles!

Conti, I also hate your blogging.

Tim, I hope you don't stop blogging because I finally moved you up to the top slot of my links list and if you quit, then I have to re-arrange everything and that'll take up two minutes of my day that I normally reserve for staring at my feet. Please don't do that to my feet.

TF—Tim's posts are wanted. You just complain a lot about how nobody reads your site or blogrolls you.

Tim—Stay...how can we bribe you?

On a related note, Choraphil is on the top of my link list. However, my blog list is alphabetical...and none of the other blogs listed start with 'a' or 'b' and in fact, you are the only 'c' blog...so...um...I guess that isn't telling you anything, is it? Ok, shutting.

Blog when you can and/or feel like it. We all need breaks sometimes from blogosphere. I'll be checking in (and all those other commenters above will be as well).

On an unrelated note, I heard those guys who started Youtube were 27 yr old virgins. Not sure if it is true or not. I guarantee you they won't be by the end of the year.

See what happens when you take a break from blogging though? You go on other blogs and leave comments that are entirely too-too long.

Leaving now.

Don't quit. Just don't.
Don't be a quitter, unless you're a smoker, in which case you should, you have a child for chrissakes.

Oh great One said...

I must be lame because I didn't see anything about you quitting your blog in this post. Maybe just a little wistfulness that they didn't buy out Chloraphil and make you a billionaire. Darn google they just don't know a good thing when they see it.

OGO - THANK YOU! I never said I was quitting! Damn people don't understand what I was trying to say. I'm so misunderstood!

I think my first comment may have had something to do with the whole quitting thing. Sorry.

fm - thats fine. It makes me feel loved.

I think it was your response to the first comment—the one where you and Popo vowed not to quit and then she does. God she sucks.

Timophil:
See, the thing is, EVERYONE is quitting. So we're scared that if you even mention it, even if it's to say you're NOT quitting, it's really just a projection of the fact you secretly want to quit, which wouldn't be acceptable. I have like, four blogs I visit on a regular basis, and there used to be like fifteen! SO promise, o.k.?

i promise
