Stress

Every once in a while I stumble upon a post of somebody talking about how some other blogger they read got fired for what they wrote in their blog. It’s called being “dooced”. I’m pretty sure that’s nothing more than a reference to taking a dump. Anyway, so I really try not to talk about my work on my blog. I talk about it sometimes, but only when I’m happy about things. You can’t get fired for talking about happy things, right!? So, I’ve been trying not to complain in fear that my co-workers or bosses might find my blog and take a dump on me. But, I’m at the point that I need to vent. Venting to my wife just isn’t enough, so I need to write it down for the world to see. So, here goes:

Being a male stripper is stressful. Because that’s what I am. I don’t have a non-stressful job such as, oh I don’t know... a computer programmer. Being a computer programmer is probably a walk in the park. It’s my job as a male stripper, not a programmer, that is really stressing me out right now. It’s partially the thongs I have to wear, and partially the women throwing themselves at me that’s killing me. If I were only a computer programmer and had to do something easy like prepare and present an architectural review for all of upper management to analyze and critique, life would be simple. But no. I chose to be a stripper, and NOT a computer programmer. Life on the pole ain’t easy.

so your a computer programmer? lol.

I know someone that got fired for blogging about her job. She was a manager too. Opps. That's why I don't list where my job is just that it is retail and jewlery. See no problems there.

Tim, you have my sympathy. It's got to be hard. Although not quite as hard as being a pimp. They even have their own hard-luck song.

"Life on the pole ain't easy."

No, it sure isn't. Even harder—having to wipe down the pole afterwards.

Yeah, good luck with that buddy.

It's a hard life. The computer programmer sounds like a walk in the park, seriously. I bet the tips are better though with that pole though.

I guess it's just a cross you'll have to bear, so to speak.

I, too, know the stresses and terrors of professional life. I am a tugboat operator. And I am so HOT that daily I nearly crash my tugboat trying to weave and bob away from all the coast guard vessels trying to sneak a peek at my boobies.

Maybe we should start a support group for other HOT professionals, ya think?

Yeah, and it sucks too being paid in dollar bills....that's got to be stressful.

how do the chicks feel about your massive bruise?

My roommate is a computer programmer so I know for a fact that computer programming is super easy. You should probably look into it if you ever decide to leave "the life" behind.

Wow, labwork is such a different world than I originally thought. Man, I wonder what the strippers at Labcorp do to relieve their stress. You guys should form a support group.

Jazz - I think you missed the part where I said I am NOT a computer programmer.

qop - I think they have thier own movie too.

pix - yeah, but not quite as bad as the people that clean up the rooms at peep shows

mad e - thanks. Strippers need luck too.

mel - yes, but programmers don't get paper cuts

vof - yikes, tugboat operators have it rough.

chuck - true. But, I did rake in $13 last night.

paul - turned on.

mel - but then I'd need a computer, which I don't have.

joo - um, ok.

conti - makes my wallet huge.

tpp - is Labcorp the name of the club in Fairless Hills?
